We are pleased to have taken part in this rewarding venture. The property was built in 1909 and from the moment we walked up, two front doors (forming a 90-degree angle) invited us in. To replace the awkward entry for this single-family home, the entire front was re-worked and a beautiful Oregonian oak door, transom, and sidelight were installed.
Because this home was so badly damaged, Golden Age handled intense demolition and started again from framework. A new staircase was built to the first level, and the kitchen was entirely re-created. We were also able to maintain the charisma of the fireplace by installing period-accurate tiles which brought heart to the front room's hearth.
